A primary concern when it comes to opening your home or your place of business for rentals is host safety. Host safety comes in a variety of forms; from your own personal safety, to legal liability, the safety of your property and even that of your neighbors. Feel confident enforcing your house rules, learn to spot red flags before they lead to 'missed communications' and most importantly, learn how to properly document every rental.
Join Peerspace chapter leader and fellow host Deacon Tyler in an elegant evening of positive communication and humor, as our team shares advice and information on keeping your space and yourselves safe, from preparing a strong set of ‘house rules’ to communicating with your renters before, during and after your rental to answer any questions.
Together, we will share ideas and concerns and our team will share our experience with some of ‘the worst’ things that can happen during a rental. Learn what we did wrong and then what we did right and learn how to sidestep a negative experience entirely.
Our studio loft is a unique location, as we are running nearly a dozen Wifi enabled cameras and we have a full complement of cutting edge smart home products, from lighting, blinds, multimedia to alarms that can be activated with easy voice commands. These come in handy more than you might think and we’ll go over some creative ways that a hundred dollar investment can protect you from liability.
Lastly, there will we some ‘getting to know you’ beforehand and some Q & A afterwards as a warm welcome to the Los Angeles chapter of Peerspace!
But best of all: delicious free food and beverages will be provided, all prepared by Deacon Tyler and his family Maria A and Sarah W. We look forward to having you here!
